Yes mate. Only reason I know is because in laws had a j from new and complained about it and Vauxhall said the leniency was what it was lol. Mad
I would have never thought they use so much if I'm honest

Has been ok up to now. I've done a load of motorway miles this last few weeks so might be that. Gone from averaging 50 miles a week to 500 lol. Hopefully will settle down now.

well if there no leaks , no burning , were can it be going its gotta be going somewhere lol unless its that thin its burning in the block/sump then get released out the breathers ?? its a strange one
Took off the breathers and no oil deposits anywhere. No sign in coolant either. Might try an oil change and flush oil out. Only did it 6 months or so ago. Used triple QX oil. 5w30

i had the same problem on my 1.6 zafira 03reg, in the manual it said 1 litre every 600 miles
Your clutch isnt slightly slipping is it. Possible crank seal leeking into the gearbox and some how onto your friction plate..... Done this on my van. Burnt my clutch out in the end

Clutch seems fine. Bite is about half way up the pedal. Doesn't seem as bad lately. When I do it's next service I will be using an engine flush and will get an additive to see if it helps. Not been as bad lately so just keepi g an eye on it
It can't be normal to use a litre of oil in 1000 miles surely?
Is this poor build quality of VX engines that makes them say it's normal, or is there a reason they drink oil? Seems rare for a car to need more than one top-up per year unless there's an underlying problem...
