Not sure mate, when mine was burning oil recently it was because the valve stem seals were gone and needed replacing. You got an sneaky leaks anywhere that's a bit tough to see?

My motor seem to be getting through oil rather quickly lately. I'm putting in half a litre every month or 2. There's no lights on the dash the engine still feels smooth and it pulls well especially in this cold weather. No leaks either. I top it up to max and I top up when the oil level light comes on.
Any ideas why. Mileage is 86k and it's the 1.6 petrol.
Any additive recomendationa as I'm reluctact putting such a thick additive in since the engine uses synthetic oil.

What grade oil you using? As I've heard newer vauxhalls are burning oil abit now.
Had it parked over cardboard for a few nights and never any drops so don't think it's a leak. I use 5w30 fully synthetic atm. Not sure whether to go up a viscosity or not now the car is getting on a bit
are you burning any ???? and has yours got a belly plate on ????
It does have a guard but they 've left it off all week and still no drips. None on drive either. Don't think I'm burning any
I use 10 40 in my zaf but obviously its a much older engine
Try changing oil then? If there's no visible leaks, not getting into cooling system is it?
You smoking at all? Even on idle?

My astra does the same dude. When you service it next use sachs engine treatment & i used mobil new life, and I rarely use any oil now, but vauxhall recommend/reckon that 1litre every thousand miles is normal use
