Wondering for help

I got a Vectra v6 sri, The old owner had changed the engine to a gsi but every now and then the engine light comes on and I lose power and it gos in to limp mode but some times if gos off if I drive it like a chav

any one have any ideas what it could be

Are you sure it's the whole lump been changed as the gsi only has different cams

My diesel h would go into limp mode and if i revved hard standing still it would clear it but i dno why.. Mine was down to swirl flaps but different engine obv mate

My old ZR diesel used to do this but that was mainly down to a dodgy maf sensor. Hope u sort it mate

common fault with them to be fair is said above with mass air flow sensors. could be cause of the fault as know it to happen many a time as many of our customers at work face it on weekly basis.

Agreed, sounds like mass air flow sensor. Start by checking the wiring and loom
