Just before the airbox there is a plug that goes into the maf (Mass air flow) on the intake remove the plug as these can cause erratic idling when gone?

@Dale P R Peel dont just unplug and plug it back it. unplug it and start the car if it runs better than it was before you removed it your maf has gone.

Little update the ecu is fine it had a new one on before I got it, just thought I would tell you lads, is it worth just getting a new lump?
I shud be able to diagnose the problem for u just need to come my unit and I could sort it
