    Mk4 astravan 1.7dti problems

    Got the van of a friend of mine and he's had it at the garage and everything they can't find nothing wrong, anyhow idle is rough as hell, and when on second and third just judders it's head off ill list the things what have Been ruled out

    Fuel pump passed
    Fuel filters changed
    Crankshaft sencer passed

    Been on diagnostics and no faults codes come up

    Done a pedal test my self and no codes on the dash

    I'm not that good with van or cars as I'm new to this

      Forgot to say tempiture sencer has been checked and my mate did have it blanked but started with this problem so he bought a brand new egr, and the problem was still there, I can't get my head around it all, hah

      Is it the isziu engine if so could well be ecu mate!

      Have u tried the fuel pump edu. It's bolted underneath the injection pump it's a common fault on 1.7

      How will I find out if it the isziu engine?, how would I find out if there is anything wrong with the ecu cheers

      The fuel pump edu just fails the soldered joints inside become weak. I have spare tested units if u would like I try one. Also if it's a dti it's a Isuzu mate. I have one my self and have many spares for them

      Dale, we have a system in place where you can tag the person you are talking to by putting the @ sign in front of their user name, so in order to notify young Rich that you're interested in an ECU, just tag him by asking him the question followed by @richardp

      the system will now notify him by email that he's been mentioned in this thread...

      MAF?? try unplugging it see if it any better
