Dump valve

Im looking for a dump valve and fitting kit for my VXR, so im just wondering if anyone knows the best place to find one and a good make?

I have just been to Aldon Automotive in brierley hill to see if I could get one from there and when I asked the bloke, his response was:

"A dump valve? Hm is your vxr a turbo or a non turbo? Because since the kid that used to deal with those has left we don't really do them much anymore"

(Baring in mind, this is a performance company)

So needles to say, I decided not to trust his further advice and walked away lol

it depends what you want really, i found the hks ssqv wasnt right and kept stalling, the bailey dv26d is a good one to go for, as is nicks collins valve and my turbo xs one

as for the fitting kit, you can either build a boost pipe setup like mine or go for the 1 piece hose off the tophat which connects to the map pipe and has a dv spout on it, nick knows a place on the warwick road that may have 1 in stock, think its creation motorsport

Have a look at TX Autosport and get the enlarged tophat and boost pipe the get a Baileys or Collins dumpvalve. Looking at about £200 for all that or get a EDS solid boost pipe and a dumpvalve if you don't want to spend too much for now

have you looked at those tx tophats? they claim to be 3 inch but its a 3 inch pipe thats been squashed in to allow the bolts in. better off with a 888dan tophat which is 2.5 inch and well made

have a look at rnd motorsport, his work is top notch

I prefer collins.. Sounds more subtle i hate high pitched baileys.. Blanked off standard recirc..

And vauxhall did do a vxr none turbo you just had to order one lol
