It sounds like plugs to me mate, we had it in a mates VXR8 and found one of the plugs had actually shattered and causing the problem.
Hiya guys
My mate has a 2.2 SXI vectra with a problem... anyone help..??
It drives perfectly in normal use BUT,, when you wanna boot it -- say on a motorway to pass someone --- at the same rev point each time (about 4,000 revs)
there is a massive -- wot feels like a misfire (although hes not sure it is)... it really kicks back as if its misfirering...
already changed the coil pack, no diference..!!!!
i told him it cud be a spark plug breakin down...???
Any other ideas...
Thx

That's plugs, mine are doing exactly the same
Common problem is either fuel rail pressure regulator, there is a modified part or the high pressure pump on the engine driven of the exhaust cam. Most likely one of these. Will post the technical bulletin when I get home for you.
Get home from Spain on Friday. Pm the full chassis number
Thx for that Craig -- will ask him for the chassis number tomorrow n pm you asap...
As Astrasonly said pump mate did 1 last week and it part from kip they have loads in stock and bout 20 mins to fit
