It just dumps unmetered air to atmosphere instead of recirculating it
Plus it's mainly for the noise, my ssqv is fairly loud
whats the difference between a blow off valve and a dump valve?
i though they where the same ?
is there any purpose of a dv or is it just for the ppppppppsssssssshhhhhh

thinking of getting one is that one you would recommend ?
Not unless you feel like getting it mapped in, look at a bailey dv26 twin piston or a Collins, I had the bailey on mine before the ssqv and it sounded nice but I wanted mine to dump really loud
Nick has a bailey he may part with
Got a Bailey dump valve on mine. Got a good sound to it. Got a Courtney hose for it to. Cost £56 for the hose. You have to blank off the standard valve or you will find ecu lamp on and loss of boost with a boost pressure trouble code popping up. Courtney recommended a twin piston valve. Take the vacuum pipe from the fuel pressure side regulator. T into that vacuum pipe. Works well on mine and sounds good.
where do you black off the standard one
Im running a collins and the oem recirc valve.. Mine aint that loud at all really
It's a pain in the arris you have to remove the intake on the turbo. Behind this there is a plate with three bolts in it. With this removed you will find a one pence will fit in the hole. Refit the dv and intake pipe and away you go. It's a pain. When you come to do it Pm your number and I will go through it more in detail.
Tbf mate I'm giving it second thoughts
Been reading up a a fair few say the corsa vxr don't like dump valves listing loads of problems
With this engine being similar I may give it a miss ???
Probably not blanked of the standard one!!
