Finically finished the prep today and after a good wash and dry I have masked them up and primed using high build primer. There were a few spots that needed a bit more filler and re paint but other than that jobs a good'en
Definately decided silver just te shade I need to decide now. It's out of star silver 3, ford sparkle silver or bmw silver sparkle.

In the end I got the paint from jawel in Dudley. He said he had a close-ish match to the oem penta colour. Here is a pic after 2 coats. I perhaps would of liked them a little lighter but I'm happy how they turned out considering how badly curbed they were. Hopefully the lacquer will brighten them up.
..and here's a pic comparing them to the unpainted centre caps
look smart they do mate.. i dont like any other colour on pentas really other than silver as you lose the sharpness off the spokes! 3 more to go oh and if its any use to you when ive done wheels in the past with tyres on ive let all the air out and used buisness cards or some sort of card round the rim.. saves alot of messin about with masking tape buddy
Thanks for the tip after I've wrestled with 4 rolls of masking tape lol. The tyre are down though. Got a compressor at work to pump them back up.. It's the lacquering that I'm really worried about though. Think I'm going to do the other 3 then seperate the centre caps and practise on them first
Laquering is relatively the same as spraying a colour.. I used to do about 3-4 light coats of laquer on my alloys mate .. Had my last few sets powdercoated though.. Just take your time let each coat 100% dry before doing another.. I used to use a heat gun aswell to speed things up a tad.. Some people
disagree but never done any harm to my work.. And all mine was rattle can i aint no qualified sprayer with guns etc
coming along nicley matey
Stripped down the centre caps tonight ready for paint tomorrow and gave the centres a clean too : )
heres a before and after
