yeah, theyre sat in my living room, and it pongs a bit from the nitro mors haha. only doing the rears atm, will tackle the fronts once these are done as theyre is mroe caliper on show so practice with the rears lol. bit of a rub down tomorrow and clean up with white spirit then first 2 coats.
white sprit some times leave,s a film on the surface give them a good wash with soapy water , bit of fairy liquid you know the crack
gave them a clean with white spirit followed by proper brake cleaner. seemed to do a good job. had 2 coats of gols on the rear calipers, but they look real streaky, bit dissappointed. how can i sort this???
like this
bit disappointed with the streaks. how can i remove them??
i know the first couple off coats with the red were like this ,but another two and they looked great are you using a good brush fine brush ,hope they come out good for you mine did
Im using a pretty decent brush. Will have to have a look into getting a better one or try a foam roller like what you use for gloss paint. Its the dark colour in the paint thats going streaky, the paint surface is smooth. Its the colour thats going streaky
Give it a chance to dry out and you might find that it clears up
I think you're being over critical having looked at the pictures closely mate, they will look great once fitted
just wasnt quite rite for me really looked worse than the pics show. went to b n q and got a foam paint roller for gloss, done the job perfect!! and much quicker too. front brakes given 1st coat on one side, do the rest when i get in tonite, then a couple more coats as the week goes on and hopefuly they may be ready for the weekend if your available to fit them any time?? im visiting pecky at 2 on saturday, but may be able to change it to later with him if you can fit them sat morning for me mate??
