LED Canbus bulb not working in estate boot

Just tried fitting a 42mm LED canbus festoon bulb in the boot light in the estate.


Once fitted it didn't come on either way round despite the tailgate being open. So decided to close the tailgate and open it again, both ways. The right way round when the bootlid was opened the light came on, flickered for a few seconds then went off again and wouldn't come back on until the boot was closed then opened, and again did the same thing!


First thoughts were, I have been sent a non-canbus bulb. So, tried it in glovebox and it worked, tried it in interior light and it worked right off with no flickering, so theres no issue with the bulb itself.


Any other thoughts as to why it's not working?

the boot can be a bit picky with what bulb it likes mate thats why its working everywhere else bar the boot

Ah fair enough, so I am best off leaving it be then with a normal bulb?

You just need a canbus compatible bulb Mark

It was canbus compatible Chris, works elsewhere in the car and also worked in my Dad's Corsa lol
