I thought it was about time i did one of these

So here we go

Febuary 2009; Saw the car online; 2008 08 Black Sri XP Sporthatch, done 3500 miles.

Car was in London so paid a small deposit over the phone after chatting to the sales guy, got the train down the same weekend and brought the car

Here she is sitting at the dealers:

When i first got her

Front bumper slightly damaged on the drive up (dealer drove it up) damn satnav and narrow roads

But dealer were good about it, paid to have it re-sprayed up here

First mod was VXR Indicator Surrounds in May 2009:

July 2009: Gave the car its first full detail, was new to this as never really cleaned my old car

No more mods for a while but December 2009 was a very dirty car month

Fitted my new Alpine HU around this time

Now in Feb 2010 was two very big mods i had been waiting and saving a long time for

6000K Non-AFL Bi-Xenons

Full Piano Black and Burg Carbon Dash

Quite scary with nothing there

Done:

Did nearly all of this myself (not very hands on

) with my dad there for moral support

March 2010:

My dad then brough a 5 door Metro blue Elite and my mate had a Astravan Sportive at the time aswell

April 2010:

Had dial LED's changed to white, much crisper and brighter

Part 2

May 2010, detaling meet at Fatman's

Paint was starting to look a bit worse for wear, full of swirl marks, so Fatman and Stokie Dean kindly machine polished her

I then went home and waxed with Dod Juice Blue Velvet, shame the sun had gone in

September 2010, wanted to do something different than just de-badging the whole car, so i got a new style Griffin badge for the back and de-badged the bootstrip

May 2011, finally got another mod i had been waiting for, lowered the car on Eibach Pro-Kit

Gairo, Carl-Astra-SRI and Mike150SRI hard at work and me trying to help but mainly staying out of the way

All was quiet for a while untill this happened!



Very long story but suffice to say i was rather annoyed that this happened :cry:

Now i struggled for ages to find a black boot with XP spoiler to fit, but finally;





Thanks to Gairo and Jay i had a new undented boot With carbon fibre bootstrip

Which offered an excuse for a few posing pics with Brogan (MILFY's) Corsa Limited Edition







And now my new grill to finally banish the chrome

Nice thread ad, coming along really well now. Going tto need another machine polish soon, that was nearly 18months ago now when it was last done!
