There only a pain because inlets get clogged which holds glowplugs in ive had the body come off with core stuck in inlet lol

mines does blow a small amount of blue smoke on cold starts but only if its first start in the morning...did you ever have anything done for this @Smiffletoe

Common on the 1.9 and most turbo engined cars will puff a bit out when cold start

just noticed how old this thread is...lol

ye i always have a look at the rear window but its only blue on startup for me, then if engines cold is has abit of white smoke but only for a few seconds til warmed up abit

Its norm but if excessive try glow plugs if not them turbo ive had new turbo and still does it even all plugs new working right aswel... Ive had terraclean and still does it

Ahh fe...so its only a problem when the turbo boosts or the car is running as far as ive noticed its only on startup so hopefully alls good
