Turbo or valve seals
Turbo or valve seals
Mine's been doing the same lately. Only on start up though, same as yourself. I just thought it was a diesel thing :/
Mine does it from cold aswell, couple of blips of the throttle and it's gone
mines the same a puff of smoke when started dont think theres anythin to worry bout , most diesels ive worked on in the past puff a little bit of smoke when started if i rem corrcectly, and urs is mega low milage aint it
ill doulble check when i got out in half hour m8
Think its a common thing with the Diesels to be honest should be a problem, just shifting out the shit left in your system from the previous journey. If it were doing it when warm I would start worrying.
Mine only seems to do it after a good run, or when the DPF has been regen'd. Sounds rightOriginally Posted by ViperSRiThink its a common thing with the Diesels to be honest should be a problem, just shifting out the shit left in your system from the previous journey. I wouldn't worry mate, you know youv got problems like me when it puffs out blue smoke when you put your foot down in a petrol. Vauxhall told me that the older 1.8 engines are a nightmare for oil burning
I'd be sorting that bloody starter motor out first before you start worrying about what happens after it starts lol, it won't start at all soon if you don't get it looked at smiffy
Oh and speaking to a chap I work with, he said it sounds like the valve stem seals as its common on the astra 1.9 diesels
