Cdc40 CID problem

I've bought the CID and CD70 ( I'm not using the CD70 I want to keep my CDC40 DAB RADIO) once I plug The CID in while the cars original CDC40 is installed all works as it should but after 10 seconds DISPLAY SAFE appears, I need this sorting out, is there anyone who can sort this out for me please? I have got my carpass but not the carpass from the donor vehicle where the CID and CD70 came from, regards

Pecky can recover the code from you if you post it to him, then clear it so that you can install, then pair it with your head unit. As you're not far from him, you can save yourself the hassle of posting CID, head unit, etc to him by going to see him instead.
