    Astra H Z16XEP ECU swap

    Hi all,

I have the above vehicle to swap ECU on, but have a used ECU with no security code, is there any way to get the security code from the ECU, i've looked at Pecky's software but he informs me it doesn't cover this ecu.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    many thanks
    Nev

post up the bin file, one of us may/should be able to work it out

Looking at his decoder it is covered under Astra H, ECM.. So maybe the question you asked may be slightly different...?

ie, you might have asked if it can be done via obd using his software?

Nope question was asked correctly, that ecu will not be decoded by the software.

Fit s/hand ECU to your car. Plug in tech 2 and then read VIN from s/hand engine ecu. This is the VIN of the car ECU was taken out of. Phone Vaux dealer with it and they can supply security code. There is a charge though. You can then reset ECU once you have correct security code.
