Yup, part number for the one in the car is 13276999, Ident BR
    HW2.01
    SW11.05.2007/O

Not sure why this is, doesn't look like it's been out before however maybe this is the cause of it all?

      UPDATE
So, swapped out the Headunit and BID for a known working pair. Monitored the current drain and the same symptoms appeared, 10mA for 15-20 mins, then spiking to 700mA for a minute before dropping back down.

CIM fuse removed, #34 from the UEC. same symptoms as above.

One thing I'm considering now is it's the UEC at fault, reason why is based on the wiring diagrams from Dom, the UEC has many feeds in to the BID. Plus, I've got a separate issue at the moment with the left AFL ballast playing up and the bulb going out. As per the manual, the corresponding fog light should illuminate, but it doesn't. Plus along with the previous bulbs that went out (rear light & brake light) I never got any INSP2 message on display. So I'm assuming something is up with the CANbus and from what I can gather all this feeds in to the UEC.

Also, when plugging fuse 35 back in (I leave this and fuse 36 out now when not using the car) you can hear something clicking / arching in the UEC. Plus you can see a faint spark when the fuse makes contact.

Any ideas before I resort to taking this to the dealer to be looked at?

Resorted to booking it in with the dealer for diagnostics. I'm planning to provide them with a full list of what I've done to locate the issue as I don't want to be paying any more than I have too.

If there is anyone around the Cambs / Beds region that has TECH2, I'm more than willing to cancel the dealer and take it to them.

Yes. It was an issue with the headunit and screen. Both swapped out for a CD70 Navi and CID & problem solved.

I have android radio and screen cid KS but radio is not the problem.

I think the problem is the Cid, which was the last thing I installed in the car since I have removed the 2din radio and it continues to consume battery.

      Thanks
