Cheers buddy. Would that make any difference to the current draw whilst off though? The fuse looks factory standard though, say compared to a halfords replacement clear one
Only CDC40 Opera has 20 amp fuse on back. CD30 and CD30 Mp3 have 15 amp on the back. I don't know if it does make any sence, but remove this 20 amp fuse and put 15 amp - the standard one.I noticed there was a 20amp fuse in the back of the CD30
Cheers buddy. Would that make any difference to the current draw whilst off though? The fuse looks factory standard though, say compared to a halfords replacement clear one
No, the only thing the fuse does is limit the current to a maximum of somewhere near the fuse rating. It does not affect the amount of current drawn, except for burning out and cutting the power above that maximum. Too much current, usually when there is a fault, it gets hot and melts.
Cheers Paul. My thoughts too.
You would suspect then that the fuse is factory fitted given its appearance.
I won't bother changing this. Do you have any idea what might be causing the infotainment to draw current every 15 minutes whilst off?
suggest try another radio and or display... and monitor, dont need to code them in as your not really using them except as a test.
Agree on that one, downside everyone I know who has an Astra doesn't have a spare one to lend me so I can test. Only way to do it is to take theirs and I'm not sure he's up for that haha!
I have spares in the boot from when I upgraded, lol. Maybe the radio is searching for RDS time signals and traffic reports? It may be some stupid polling that hasn't shut off during standby mode, such as that.
Fair shout Paul.
I'll see what I can do with borrowing one out of a mates car.
So you don't think the issue could be caused by another module in the car telling the infotainment to wake up then?
Right didnt got far with server as tis uses x86 and wont install on x64 was going to install globaltis over existing but realized its in german nightmare to find something
So if you can list what exactly you need from wiring will make pdf files or you can always download tis sure if you got 32bit pc
I'm running win 10 64bit so won't be able to DL
What I'd like to see is diagrams of where the infotainment (HU & screen, in my case BID) link too. So with the limited knowledge I have, thing such as batt live / ign switched. Steering controls / CIM. Etc. Basically anything where the infotainment may link too. I know it forms part of the CANbus as Haynes show this, but it doesn't show what else is connected etc.
Anything you can think of really Dom where the infotainment could be being told to turn on either by a manual switch or some kind of module telling it to wake up
