Corsa ecu

hi all
i have a corsa c and the ucu has failed on the temperature control sender input on the 5v circuit.
so i need to replace it,
question, do the part numbers have to match and if i get a new ecu and can i get the security code out with tech2 if not anybody in chelmsford can do it.
i do have the car pass for the car i have that needs ecu replacing.

Better to bet same part numbers as on petrols engine z10xe ecu will not work in a z10xep. Tech2 will not retrieve security code but you can read VIN from replacement ecu once fitted. Security code can be obtained from VIN and ECU reset. If you have car pass from car that donated ECU is better.
