TID to BID

Hi all after looking on here i have found that i can change from my id to a bid. Bought a bid that has been divorced, fitted everything into my car after divorcing my cd 30 and my id. Married the new BID to my cd 30.
Now i only have opcom I'm not sure what i need to change to make it read the MPG etc.
All as it shows is instant consumption, i hit the bc button on the cd 30 and it doesn't really do anything.
Is there a sort of step by step guide or any advice would be great.

if I remember right you just have to go in and activate trip computer then make sure the code index is correct as per peckys list depending on model (linear resistance/voltage fuel sender for astra h) then should be good to go

Hi thanks for your reply it all seems t be working now I press the correct buttons on the stereo! Only thing I noticed is miles left goes up rather than down
Think mine is 006 code. Astra h sxi

same as mine so yes 6 would be correct and when on a full tank at first it only showed range of 350 miles but now after a few fills it starts at 425 but when on a run will go up to 500 and about 46/47 mpg driven carefully . same engine as yours and year
