    Weird cd70+cid problems

Hello everyone I have retro fitted a cd70 + cid and bluetooth to my car.

I have had some programming work done by tech2.

The guy doing this could not get the cid to display the phone tab. It just shows a blank tab. That cannot be accessed.

Also the radio would not let go of the steering wheel controls. So when using these buttons the Bluetooth and radio are responding at the same time.

Does anyone know the next steps?

I have updated my cd70 using the update disc but have not been back to try tech2.

Has anyone come across this before and how did they solve it.

    Thanks.

The CID will be an early KS version screen which was released before the bluetooth was, Only way to get the tab is to upgrade the firmware.

If the CD70 is a very early one the audio quality will also be poor and crackle as that also came out before bluetooth did, if that is what you are seeing as well, then yes I have seen that before. There is nothing that can be done to improve the audio, I have one in bits on the shelf which does the same thing.

Cd70 update disc is no good

    Tech2 programming is no good.

You can get the phone tab sorted, but anything else beyond that is useless.

    Thanks for the info.

Now to sell them. The whole reason I got them was for the Bluetooth lol.

    Live and learn aye.

Just unlucky, it's only the 2004 kit which has the issues.

http://www.diagnostics.org.uk/shop/c...-zafira-b.html will sort the display and upgrade it to the latest version, so I would look to just change the CD70 if I was you.

Astra H CID early versions smaller than 59 can be upgraded with tech2 and sps. Done that once, phone tab appeared ok, no issues.

Yes that works, but it still keeps it as a 2 line KS, you may as well trick SPS into updating with the BN firmware, you just need to know how to force it.
