so, what excatly do i need to look for before buying one of those displays? any serials/model numbers..? Or any of them?

and do i was right about that i need to choose between new display or mp3 aftermarket player.. i cant combine them together?

could any1 please drop me some ebay links of excatly what would work for me..? I guess all i need is just a display and a wire.. but there is loads of those displays..

I just want a display which would work after swap and show MPG (trip counter..), no need for satnav or other stuff.

you can have new display (wiring changes to be made to new plug) plus you'll need a CIM unit/steering wheel as well.. Will look for part numbers..

I would advise a UZ ident CIM unit approx £40-£45 quid and the screen about £40 or so, plus you'll need the surround for it...

I know I have a screen and surround available which would suit plus also the plug... Not sure on on the buying/selling rules will have a quick look... would also have a CIM unit suitable as well...

How much would you like for it? we can do it trough ebay..if you make a listing and PM the link. cuz i live in wolverhampton.. its 150 miles to essex.
so..for now that list looks somethin like that:
1) display
2) plug+wires
3) cim unit
4) steering wheel
5) surround
all together could be around 150 pounds?

yeah sounds about right... probably less,,, CIM unit would need to be programmed to the car with tech2 or someone who knows vauxcom inside out..

I'll put up a proper thread in the 'for sale' section with the bits you'll need and I'll power it up so you can see it.. Then we can deal with it from there.. With ebay you get all them fees and whatever..

ohh.. im start thinking if i want to spend that much for that little upgrade..
better would be to buy an aftermarket player with usb, mp3, bluetooth, display etc etc..+connector for steering wheel. cause sooner or later i will have to think about it anyway. its much easier to use usb stick then burn a cd's all the time..
