Ecu no communication on opcom

I have a 2007 Cdti 120 vectra. Yesterday it just cut out whilst driving and wouldn't start or even try to turn over there was literally nothing happening. All the dials and displays and radio worked as they should except where the range is displayed it said 'F Miles' I put the opcom on it and did a presence check and there was no communication with the ecu. Me being a tit took the ecu out and opened it up and pretty much destroy it.

What I'm wondering is can I get a second hand ecu with the same alpha code and have it coded to my car using my opcom?

Yes of course you can.
Just make sure you buy a reset ecu or have the pin code available if not.
You will also need the pin code to your car and if you don't want to chance trouble make sure you have the genuine tool and not a dodgy clone.
