Only other people who may know would be Dom... Think Pecky mainly knows the ins and outs of the Astra...

I think you will get a way with swoping the eeprom. I did that with an IPC some days a go and it worked fine.

Ahh let me try to remember
Already had this issue couple years ago
Will check tomorrow evening what was done in this case i just remember we replaced cim couple of times as they all were from scrap so not sure now which one we fitted
With cim you can face a problem
Old cims was mcu type new ones eeprom so nothing to swap over

Went out of bed for you and checked
Solution was cim from 2005+ vectra as resistance on buttons is different than on scrollers and all schematic works much different what old cims doesn't understand
Tried to rewire it but no luck cim doesn't get it right only solution was facelift cim

No they don't have to much, went to scrap looked for vectra c facelift picked up any available
If you will match them than you will never get scrollers

I would go for a facelift CIM an ident UY one if you do NOT have AFL's or ESP fitted.. But changing the eprom from an older CIM probably not work as it will be looking for different things, but nothing to stop you trying (Dom - Was only the very early ones on the MCU's.. Later ones were eprom)

Main thing what you need is cim from facelift 2005+ years, uy was mentioned if you don't have afl's and esp but otherwise use one which you can get
