    Yes, it is plugged in as supposed to be.

    Two options here:

    1. Fault somewhere in connection between roof antenna and headunit;
    2. Fault on the antenna itself;

    I would suggest first to unplug/plug connector two or three times, and then if no change to buy aftermarket fakra antenna from ebay.

    I have retrofitted in my Astra CD70 Navi and CID screen and I got the full set. But I didn't want to play with wiring under the roof and installing the factory antenna. That's why I bought and installed aftermarket fakra antenna for 15 eur. I bought it here from a car market in Sofia. I'm using it since April this year and till now I didn't have any problems. Only first time it took ~10 min to locate. I have tested it in heavy rain as well - again no worries.

      These cd70's do fail is such a way that it does not read GPS signals at all.. I am beginning to suspect this may be the case..

      It looks that time for problems came. Since a week I started to get problems with my CD70 Navi. Initially I observed one or two times, where the GPS label on the navi main screen is crossed out. And then day by day situation started to getting worse. Now almost all the time I didn't get located on the map. In the hidden menu I can see that ~8 up to 13 satellites are visible, but connection is not established.

      I didn't try to disconnect/connect the antena from the unit. It is aftermarket one.

      Then I can try to connect the original antenna but in the meantime any advise will be helpful.

      What is this common problem with the CD70 units?

      And there is no way to get this fixed? Should I start looking for a new unit?

      Point taken domtorredo. This morning I have disconnected/connected back fakra connector of the aftermarket anetnna. It took something like ~5 min to locate me again. So I will test for a day or two. If problem appears again I will connect original antenna (but will put it on the dashboard). If no luck new headunit will be purchased.

      Thank you both, soulman and domtorredo for your advice!

      Will update here as soon as new info is available for others, which experience this problem.

      One more thing to share - it appeared that CD70 headunit was stacked itself.
      When I disconnected fakra connector for the GPS antenna in the hidden menu it displays that there is 10 satellites visible - T0/V10.
      I turned off/on the headunit with disconnected antenna and the same result - T0/V10.

      Then I have disconnected all cables going to the CD70, left it for ~5 min around and then connected all back except the fakra connector. This time hidden menu showed no satellites visible T0/V0. Then turned off again and connected gps antenna.

      Since then I didn't observe any issues. I have tested it couple of times today.

      Will test in the next days and will post update accordingly.

      After almost a week testing (when driving hidden navi menu displayed on CID) I can confirm that issue seems to be resolved now. Navigation is running out of any signal loss or errors.
