mileage can only be set within the first 100 miles of a brand new set of clocks using tech2/vauxcom.
Mileage correction is a specialised field and you will need to contact a 'mileage correction' person and then have to provide proof of ownership, proof of current mileage etc etc...
You could program the older vehicles like the vectra b type of age by reading and writing the eprom using vauxcom but not the new generation of vehicles..
I also have tacho pro, but there's 3 eeproms in the clocks and I don't want to guess which one to de-solder
i believe its a 35080 chip, and if you didnt know already they can only write incrementing values to the mileage section of it, so you'd need to either erase the chip then rewrite or buy a new chip
That is the chip I'm looking for, but there's none that actually have that number on it. As you look at the back of the binnacle there are 2 eeproms together on the right hand side and one on its own to the left.
single chip on its own underneath the LCD display itself
becareful, you will need to remove the bezel holding the lcd in place to remove the rest of the fascia,
Thanks!! Much appreciated!!
Get new eeprom
In existing dump set mileage to 0
Than tech2 or whatever tool can do it
Oh yes and don't forget that full mot history can be viewed online where mileage is shown too and there also mileage stored in ecu
