Hi mate I'd say because you have bumped it, you will of fried the bcm and it will need reprograming with Tech2 or worst replacing I have one here if needed I'm in teesside so bit far for me to travel up.
Hi newbie here
looks like a great site with loads of good guys with zillions of knowledge
I've come on the site in search of information prior to getting someone with Tech2 or Diagnostics involved
my56 plate Corsa d
decided to give the car a well deserved clean and polish, radio on, singing away, them radio goes off, try to start car, click, click flat battery
Car was on a hill so, jump started car (bad decision)
parked in the garage overnight, started car the next day, drove it out of the garage polished a bit more....started again and drove into the garage
next day, car won't start, yellow spanner flashing.........new battery fitted............still won't start
the car does and doesn't do:
a) car has started twice after jump starting
b) neither key starts car
c) Keys open / closes doors, yellow spanner (immobiliser) flashing
d) Do the keys need reprogramming / resetting..................or
e) BCM is fried, even after starting twice after jump start
If anyone has any advice / possible fix, I'd love to hear
cars in Scotland, if theres any Techs out there that can help

Hi
Aaghhh No not another 'Teeside tech' I work as an inst tech and half the techs i work with come from Teeside...... 'Yarm' lol
you reckon even after starting a couple of times after bumping, the BCM will be fried, I would have thought if it was U/S I wouldn't have been able to start the car twice?
Haha I'm stockton so just down the road, just and assumption mate but corsa d's are known for it.
Hi Tremo 1984
can you pm me a price for the BCM, is it cleaned and ready to be installed and paired in MY56 plate Corsa
Yer but you might be able to sort it with an update mate the bcm I have is reset and ready to fit but will need programing to your car.
Ok
leave it with me till tomorrow, I'll have a talk to someone with diagnostic equip and get back to you
thanks for the replies
Ta
as above, update software on bcm, then reprogram. if that dont cure it then suggest replacement bcm
just a wee update..............don't bump start an early Corsa 'D' if the battery is dead, you'll kill the car, the coding for the keys will be wiped
(unless the software has been up dated)
got my car back today, all things considered, I'm down a new battery, but the car needed that
and I'm 70 odd quid down for programming the keys and dropping in the up dated code
So and expensive bump start, but could have been oh so much worse, BCM burn out etc etc, so I'm lucky
thanks for the help guys and for listening to my moans, keep up your good work, nice little site, I'll maybe drop in again
Anyone on here do classic Subaru Impreza mapping
