Cruise Control not working in 6th gear!

Hi All,

Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Yesterday I fitted a cruise control stalk to my Zafira (07 SRI CDTI) enabled using OPCOM. All is working ok except it wont work in 6th gear!

Any ideas?

Just to add some more info, they car has had a replacement gearbox and single mass flywheel conversion before I bought it. If the gear ratio's were different would that cause it? Single mass flywheel have an effect?

Never heard that before maybe ECU is not expecting that vehicle speed and engine rpm?

Yes, it must be something to do that. I've tried changing the gearbox type from WR to CR but no difference.
The only thing I can think of is that old (china copy) opcom I've got has coded it incorrectly?

No, opcom cannot make a difference, this is embedded in the ecu software. I know for some ecus you have a variant config setting between wide and short gearbox, give it a try with opcom.

Already tried that, no difference unfortunately. Is this something Tech2 could fix?

No, those are just diagnostic tools. Like I said, this might be embedded in the ECU software and NOT adjustable by ANY tech2 opcom. My guess.

What about flashing the ECU with newer firmware/software?

Good idea, but who is able to change the software? Vauxhall? How much will this cost? 100k, 200k pounds?
