Corsa life steering control retrofit

Hi
I have a corsa life 1.3cdti that ive fitted steering controls to and had them tech 2ed in and only the right side works
I have been told there is an extra wire that needs fitting from pin 22 on the steering connector to the bcm
I have tis 2000 and have worked out that the wire needs to run to pin 40 on the xi3 connector on the back of the bcm
Could someone confirm it on there tis to see if its right or correct me if im wrong. me engine is z13dtj
