cd70 possible to get new fakra connection?

    Hi,

Is it possible to get a new faker connection soldiered on the pcb for the gps antenna?

i managed to snap the tiny pin in the centre out due to damaged fakra lead!

Or do i just buy another cd70?

Search for Fakra PCB and you will find something like this http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/coaxia...ckets/7770668/ you need to check that how it is mounted on the board is compatible, i'e is it solder pads, go through the board etc.

Not saying the link is compatible as I haven't looked at the CD70 PCB, but that's what you are searching for.

Thanks for your reply, i have googled the connectors but have not found anything the same as of yet, plus i would rather pay someone to do the change over, if i can find the correct ones is this something you can do? i need to get you to decode the unit aswell?

i have a couple of pics of the connector is has two screws holding it in place.

ok just an update i have bought a cd70 off eBay the satnav drive doesn't work but i can remove that out of mine, saves the agro of trying to change the faker.

Just need to get you to decode the cid now and set it to factory condition ready to re install.

Dont suppose you are coming down for the AON Stealth Memorial meet?
