is it possible to install a "new" ecu to a 2011 2.0 tdi insignia without vci code or is it 100% required I know with astra j before a certain date you DO NOT need vci codes
can anyone shead some light here

Not sure, you may not need vci as it may load the default configuration for that vin, would still need online access.
The vci for a astra j is only applicable to the radio, bcm and other modules still need vci.Richard Peck

ok a little update here all in sps offline v32b
"new" ecm installed
prepair for removal
enter "new" ecu code (from donor car) (10 mins)
program
configure and setup
immo learn new ecm (10 mins)
all done car works great
offline works fine for 2011 2.0 a20dth insignia
would love to have time to play with the radio but if it needs vci code am stuffed
plus will pay with ipc nextweek so will update then too
Richard is it possabe to download our personal uploads without your subscribtion as I have lost the ipc dumps I uploaded here
