Antara BC Function

Hi , just bought 2014 Antara 2.2cdti exclusiv 2wd. BC function not working and dealership state categorically that this function can't be enabled on my car. Really disappointed. When I press BC on the panel I don't even get "no function". It would appear I have a GID display and all that shows are phone and music tabs at the top, no BC tab. Any info would be helpful. Gordy

Hi Gordy,

Despite the mis-information provided by the dealership, it can be added to your car, they just don't know how.

It just needs Tech2 to change the code index of the display, available code indexes for the Antara are here http://www.diagnostics.org.uk/help/f...125-Code-Index

They will probably tell you it is not possible and not to believe everything you read on the internet.

I've done it to a few antaras now so know it is possible

I would hope so as Tech2 is the dealerships diagnostic tool.

Does this apply to 2014 Antara models as I am in the same situation as Gordy but have been informed the programming method changed on 2014 models.

Sorry forgot to ask in my last post, how long should it take to activate the BC function. My dealer is saying it would be an hours labour but it is not guaranteed that it will work.

Assuming they have to go into the store, unpack the tech2, make a coffee etc, it should take no more than 10 mins.

As for programming methods changing, not to my knowledge, although on tech2 the settings are not there for 2012+ vehicles, but I'm not going to tell them how to do it, that's for them to figure out.
