Alarm upgrade

Hi, the Alarm on my Astra J does not go off if the car is struck, the neighbours kids keep hitting it with a football. someone has pointed out that it might not have a shock sensor. Does anyone know if this can be retro fitted or can i fit a second alarm system with one.

Wouldn't that become very annoying, very quickly? A second alarm system would be easy. If the factory alarm doesn't have the capacity for a shock sensor, but monitors for current draw increases, then a shock sensor wired to possibly the boot courtesy light would draw current and should trip the alarm.
