How to put the CDC40 into delivery mode

To avoid damage of the internal 6-disk CD changer if you have to post the unit after removal, do the following to put the mechanism into delivery mode.
After ejecting of all CD's press the eject button for at least 8 seconds until a mechanical noise can be heard in the CD drive.
