Pecky is the gid capable of been programmed for both types of fuel level senders ?

Got a cd70 just looking at gid's and don't want to get burned

Yes and no. The very latest GIDs can only be programmed for linear voltage (2006+). 2004 ones may also be specific to linear resistance and not updateable.

Lol so many choices how do I know what I have got and how do I identify the correct one for me? My car is 1.7cdti 05 plate

You have to be very unlucky to get the wrong one and even if you did, they sell again with no problem at all, sometimes for a profit if you get it for a good price.
