    UHP interference noise

    hi,

i have a uhp4 that i sometimes get interference noise on when using the phone, like in the old days when you had to fit a suppressor to stop the noise on the stereo's.

Just wondering if @pecky has come across this before, its only when using the phone, everything else is ok.

could it be a bad earth? doesn't happen all the time

It depends on the quality of the audio cable used for the mic, as it runs adjacent to the power to the roof, it can get interference if shielding is not the best or poor connection.

Failing that make sure all the terminals in the connector are sound.

      Hi,

@pecky thanks for the reply, I did use a proper shielded microphone cable from maplin , but I will try changing it, it don't happen all the time but it's the sort of noise that you used to get when you could hear the pitch when the engine was reving etc.

Just curious, are you doing any shows this year? Not that I need anything doing was just gonna pop over say hi again lol

      Regards

      Simon

You are probably using an adapter cable behind your radio.

Yes I am but why would this affect it and not all the time?

Make it as original and the problem will go away.
