Still sourcing lhd cars vin which come with sport button from factory, yours was petrol or diesel
My car is diesel - 1.7 CDTI 101 h.p
Cosmo edition - with quite good level of factory fitted extras, if this info is valuable.
Have found vin will check all possible ipc idents and will post
That's great! In the meantime do you need VIN number of my car? To be honest, I forget to provide this info in the begining when I've asked for help.
Here is what I found in the meantime. List of IPC idents and description what each of them supports.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7u...ew?usp=sharing
Anyhow this list is large, but I cannot locate my IPC ident there - HE with part number 13186323
I don't know what to think now.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
All that list splints into 4 types if ipc and again 2 types of fuel
Vin which i checked was for ipc with chrome rings and none was HE ident, HE ident was if remember ipc with silver top but i got none of vins with this type ipc
Easyest will be to check if they works if yes they support it if no than look for another ipc
I see. So physical test needs to be arranged. Okay mate. Thanks a lot for time and advices.
I will update you with my findings.
It's been quite a lot of time since I post here. I was busy with retrofitting xenon lights and till now I didn't have time to perform this physical test.
So I have temporary connected pin 8 on hazard switch to pin 41 of IPC and pin 17 to 11. I activated Sport switch in IPC, and nothing happened. It does not work.
Could you please advise in which menus I should enable Sport switch? Maybe I missed something.
Otherwise new IPC supporting sport mode should be found.
Your IPC should not support the sport mode. One way to test it is just to activate the sport button and check if there is an error on the ipc about sport button. If there's nothing you Will have to replace the speedo for a compatible one.
Yes, unfortunately I'm pretty sure that it doesn't support it. .But I will give a try once again and will check for errors on IPC.
Should I consider that the only place I should go in order to activate Sport button is IPC>Sport Switch>Present ?
Is there any changes in UEC or Engine for example, which are required?
