    Range info

    Hi.
I would like to find out have quick the trip computer should recalculate the range. Reason for asking is: For example, before fill up the display shows 29 miles, the low fuel warning light is on. After fill up and couple miles drive (also some starts) it shows 27 miles. Mostly happens when fill up 10 to 15 litres, but today filled up 40 litres, but still the same. Also reseting "trip distance", "Avarage MPG", "speed" etc. no improvements.

Is it normal if the Range (and also the MPG) drops faster or more between 1/4 to 3/4 a tank?

It is sounding normal to me. The trip computer doesn't respond well if the fuel level is kept below 1/2 tank.

Normally a fill to the max resets it. If not immediately then after a few miles.

There were two fuel level senders used on the H - a linear resistance one and a linear voltage type IIRC - it seems there was some confusion in manufacture as TIS details a pair of programme codes, one for each type.

That happened for a short time pretty early in the life of the H, not sure if it is relevant here.
