That data is under measuring blocks

Regarding fault it can be anything starting from cim down to wiring and ending with ecm
Ecm is mounted in different locations some of top of engine some not depends from engine
But I would bet more on cim fault
Currently wife has astra and cim couple of months ago started packing up first thing was key in ignition warning disappeared couple weeks ago passenger window stopped opening with remote with switch it's fully fine
So make your decision with what to start

      My input for this is..

      a) clutch or brake pedal. (when this happens, keep your foot underneath the pedal to lift it upwards and see if it re-engages better, same applies to both)
      b) dirty contacts on stalk (think you've already cleaned them)
      c) spring connections inside of CIM unit not making connection properly with the stalk
      d) hubs giving off different readings to each other can deactivate cruise control as well.. is it the same in all gears?

I have just dismantled the CIM and now it works perfect. It was the connections in the base where you put in the stalk. A good cleaning and a bit bending of the contact points to increase contact solved the issue totally. You have to be careful and you need opcom or similar to remove fault codes and to recalibrate steering angle.

I had this same problem on my 2,2 dti and after removing the stalk and greasing the contacts it works perfectly greased the tailgate connectors and no more bulb warnings either. Make sure you use electrical contact grease, the white stuff that the manufacturers use.
