Removing AFL?

I'm changing cars and hoping to transfer the AFL Schtuff across.

Will it make an epic mess of the existing car loom? My main concern is the headlight wiring- wondering if it needs modding to take standard lights?

Finally:- will the manual headlight levelling be active once all the gear is in place and tech2d?

Hi Rob,

I did exactly the same when i sold my car, although I sold the lights fitted to someone elses car.

From memory you just need to:

• Remove the headlights
• Swap over pins 7&8 in the headlight connectors
• Remove the rear level sensor and bracket
• Remove the control module from behind the glovebox
• Change the light switch for a manual levelling one
• Run a wire from the removed control module to the switch for the levelling signal.
• Add a switched live wire into the light switch
• Tech2 to turn off the AFL function.
