    cd70 aux in noise?

hi all , im having aux in added to my cd70 at the end of the month .
    I previously had a cd30 mp3 , so i still have the jack in place .
stampede said that when he attaches the cd30 mp3 jack to the adapted cd70 aux in , it crackles?

Stampede is using his own cable that he has fitted to the terminal block at the back of the head unit .
One thing i have noticed is that the original cd30 mp3 jack is made up of 3 cables . Stampedes new cable only has 2 ?..

iv asked him to attach the original first as i want to hear the crackling for myself . If im not happy with it il use his cable and some how adapt it to the current phono socket ???

    regards tim

No idea on stampedes cable, I always make mine up with 3 wires. http://diagnostics.org.uk/shop/looms...jack-lead.html

Converted CD70's a known for crackling, I haven't heard of a single person yet who hasn't mentioned it.

Connecting to the phone socket will only give mono as it isn't a stereo connection and won't sound that good.

aux in uses 3 wires left/right/ground (minus) crackling noise can be from incorrect components or bridged tracks or due to missing ground from attached device to aux in port

sorry pecky i meant phono socket not phone . I had a little typo moment lol
i wanted to say that if it does crackle then i need to somehow adapt his cable to the jack/phono socket .

If any one want terminals and wire on this site they are available in the shop. the site and server don't pay for themselves so iI would appreciate not posting links for people to go elsewhere
