Yes the radio needs to be plugged in AND powered up for that amount of time.
When you get down to 4 attempts left, I'm pretty certain it is more than 2:40 hours.
Only alternative is to edit the eeprom contents and remove/reset the wait time.
Hi!
I've got a CD70 from a friend at home and I've connected to power supply, a spare BID I have to test with and to opcom using an original diagnostic link from an Astra.
The issue is that checking with opcom it says Wait Security Time - Running (or something similar). It has 4 code inputs remaining so I should have to wait 2:40 hours but it doesn't change it's state.
Could it be that the radio looks for the Ignition status? Because for me it obviously says OFF.
On the other hand, I've seen that if I leave the time to 00:00 in the display, it doesn't move. I've had to puc for example 01:00 to see it counting. But this doesn't work either
Do I have to remove the radio on my car to connect his radio for almost 3 hours? Hope not...
Best regards!

I've found a time table were it says 2:40 when there's only 4 attempts left.
I could read the eeprom and remove the waiting time but I don't know where's the information to edit in the hex file. Or I could even remove the security code in the hex file directly if I knew what to edit. Any ideas?
Thanks!
