    Hi mate,ive had a bit of luck today and have been able to remove a cd navi 70 head unit and the screen too from a car thats been written off.cant believe my luck as it works a1 when fitted into mine too.its even got extra features like fuel consumption as its from an sri ! Got to give my gaffer a good drink but still cant believe one come up so quick .many thanks for your help mate and ill cancelle my appointment,thanks again carl.

      well in most cases they can be repaired but cd70 cost isn't too high, so sometimes its better to go for replacement
      from experience have spent nearly 3 days checking components was lucky found dead transistor sourced replacement but than problem started can order from digikey or rs components but only in huge quantities so pointless to repair as parts and delivery are nearly at same cost as unit thats if you do for itself if for someone than add job costs and you end up £££ as no one will buy few hundred item and use one
      and another thing is i don't use cheap parts from china

      but don't give up open it check for blown components, burns, etc anything what looks like strange post some pictures will try to help you

      I also have the same symptom CD70 head unit! The navigation panel on the poor, in which the antenna connector is blue!
      Unfortunately, I do not know what is wrong inside, but replacing the whole panel has solved the problem!

      But has anyone repair this module?
      I see some were else soldering points of memory chip is lose or bad....or a bad transistor .
