Ben,
This is the problem with OPCOM if you don't fully understand what you are doing.
What year was your car manufactured, I will be able to tell you which code index it should be on
Hi,
Last week I got my OP COM and started to look into the possible options that I could add onto my Astra. I managed to get the speed lock, the windows, the check control and the BC to work. However with the BC I have an issue. The BC1 and 2 works fine but on startup the GID shows RANGE O Km however the tank is 50% empty. I already tried to change the code index to a different one but whit out result. Even when I change the Fuel sensor type it doesn’t change. Can anyone help me out on this one?
I can’t tell witch code index original was installed.
Kind regards,
Ben

2005 cars usually have the linear resistance fuel level sensor. This would mean that the DIS needs code index 007. If that doesn't work set to 002.
You can verify the fuel sensor type by looking in the variant configuration of the IPC, it is a setting in there, just don't change it.

The only code index in there are, 04 05 08 and 09. 02 and 07 i can not find. is there a way to upload them by adding them to the folder where the other are stored in.

Well, yesteday I filled up the fuel thank and some how the range indicator worked. Now when driving it seems like the fuel is flying trough like it's nothing. On a half tank the range indicator says there only 130km left to drive. Does it needs to be callibrated or something?
Ben
Ben,
I'm having the same problem. When the car is filled up, the Range reads like 650 km, but when the gauge shows 1/3, Range goes to "----".
I retrofitted my GID from a 2008 model-year Zafira B.
Everything works fine (BC1, BC2, check control, Navi, etc.) except for the fuel range, and I can't set the code index to 02 or 07 either (even with Tech2).
Opel dealer told me it's probably 'cause the display I have just can't support linear resistance type sensors.
However, Pecky advised me earlier that any GID can be programmed to any type of fuel sensor, so I haven't given up the hope yet...
Hi,
I read somewhere on a german forum that the code index from the fuel gage should be changed as well. Still need to look at that but haven’t got the time yet.
