Hi all,

Would like to thank Pecky for sorting out my BC (Trip Computer) on my 2012 Antara, it took a bit of trial and error but he worked it out and I now have what Vauxhall couldn't get me.

I'm a newby to this kind stuff but just fitted my 2012 antara exclusiv with front and rear parking sensors which work a treat and bought a cruise control stalk off eBay which worked immediately upon fitting... (Local Vauxhall dealer wanted nearly £1k for the fitting of all of these)

Would love to know about the trip computer stuff for the 3 line display...

Any help/advice appreciated!

Andy,

You are the first person I've heard off that has fitted cruise control. On the tech2 programming tool, there are no options available for the programming, which may just be because they just work.

If you have the display with 3 lines, then the board computer can be turned on with Tech2 which is the dealer tool. It isn't straight forward as the programming is sketchy.

After a lot of looking, I managed to sort it out, so I can program it, although you may struggle with anyone else.

Thanks for the speedy response!! The cruise control was unbelievably easy - it was £20 for the stalk off eBay from a seller called Thurlby Motors and three screws on the steering column. Disconnected the old one and put in the new one. Orange cruise light came on right away and all test worked perfectly... Lights green when set and all brake/clutch combos deactivate. Perfect.

Would be really interested in the board computer stuff but I completely believe about its difficulties. How much does it cost to do the program,Ming and where are you based?

Might not be able to afford it this month but would love to get it done.

Ps anyone want a standard Antara indicator stalk??!

Im interested in fitting the cruise control, do you have a Vauxhall part number and is it common to any other Vauxhalls?

I still have the box with the old stalk in it - I'll check and send a pic when i get home.

i got it from on eBay from this seller;

Did you manage to find a part number? I can't seem to find an Anatara one, do you know if it is the same as another Vauxhall?

sorry - i totally forgot i hadnt posted the pic. took it last week for you.

hopefully the pic has attached ok.

the stalk in the picture is the factory fitted one after removal. the box is what the cruise stalk came in from ebay.

I bought and fitted the stalk tonight, took me 10 mins, all working, what a bargain!! Cheeky Vauxhall ba$%ards wanting all that extra money for it fitted.
