Cd70 upgrade

My first thread !

Ok so I need to upgrade my CD70 Navi with AUX in, this is what I have so far:

2006 Vectra 1.9 tdi SRI
I have managed to obtain a tray with the aux in socket
I have purchaded a new aux in cable

I have just performed the software upgrade (October 2010 disc) but still cannot locate 'aux in' under volume control - perhaps I need a tech 2 upgrade ?

I am based in Beaconsfield and I want to be able to connect my portable blu ray player to the car audio system - do I have to go through the the whole soldering issue / Tech 2 ??????

Or is there a quick fix that perhaps Pecky could do or a local audio specialist ? really need your help guys

Also when I remove the CD70 what exactly am I looking for to determine if I have indeed got Aux in - which I do not think I have

Would appreciate any assistance guys

Hi,

It needs tech2 programming in order to get the menu to appear, so that is why you can't see that.

You wont have aux-in as it stands, all the components need soldering inside, this is nothing I have done before, nor intend to do.

You wont be able to tell by looking at the CD70 if it has Aux or not, other than the date on the sticker at the top, but assuming it came with the car from factory, then it didn't exist in the CD70 then, which is why I'm certain you won't have it.
