    Luke, that might be so, but I watched him do it and run through various things with the computer with engine at idle, revving etc. I will reserve judgement until tomorrow morning when it won't start...

    Thanks for all the comments guys, I took it back to the garage today and they did some sort of reset on the engine sensors. They told me to try it and take it back if it's not right. Here's hoping!

    Belt jumped they think causing failure of the cam...

    Belt jumped they think causing failure of the cam gear and pulley oil feed and some valves. 58,000 miles only! Just my luck!

    Apparently the head was skimmed yes. It's only at cold start, and runs perfectly as soon as it rests to idle, which it does instantly!

    1.6 VVT spark plug gap

    Hi all,
    There seems to be some confusion over spark plug gaps on 1.6 VVT engine. Haynes manual doesn't cover it, Vauxhall garages are inconsistent, and I'm confused!
    1.4 engines ..0.9mm, 1.6...
