If it happened in all gears, I would suggest thrust bearing.

But only making the noise in 3rd and4th, maybe suggests a gearbox problem.

My guess would be the crank sensor or the cam sensor, or maybe both.

I might be wrong but I don't think that is the clutch...

Simple way to test the DMF is keep engine on tickover and depress the clutch pedal slowly, if you hear a rattle as the pedal goes down,...
