you need an account with GM(PSA) and a MDI for programming then you need to pay for programming time and apply for the VCI code through GM, they will then email you back as to wheter or not they will...
You can't do it from serial number..from what I remember as long as your radio , display , dab are all on the same code that code can be whatever you like. It's only linked between the audio...
You need an eeprom reader get a dump off the chip and post both dumps on here and someone would probably be kind enough to check the codes in them. Then it's just a case of putting the codes the same...
I think you need the dump from eeprom for display and radio so they can be checked and matched. If they don't match then it won't work. If the codes are the same then it's possible a faulty head unit...
hi
yes there is a way of doing this to make it completely factory spec. the head unit will need programming and some wires added along with a mic and bluetooth module.
thanks
VCI is required , they are vin specific as stated above. if i remember right the vci for android auto is 75 euro and 45 euro to use sps programming. it will depend on the head unit as to whether is...
You need to sps program it. Think it has to be done as pass through, sure somebody might put me right on that
It's done through tech2 or MDI in tech2 mode
Maybe the module needs an update
It can be done, I have a navi950 in my 2010 astra
You need someone with access to online gm infotech and a mdi
I'm positive you will need vci code.
Early 2010 2011 cars you can occasionally get away without vci
If you were nearer I could have done it for you
You are correct in the fact that you will need module mic and loom plus vci.
They are a nightmare now.
The display doesn't no but you will need to do some wiring changes to get it to work the colour display has 4 wires and red display has 7 if I remember right
No worries

been a while since I needed to post on here but would anyone by any chance have a cd600 eeprom dump preferably from an astra or cascada 2014/2015
this is the later head unit with colour...
well with the help of a very kind soul on here I have managed to do a retrofit of a navi 950 into my 2011 astra j , very impressed with its functionality. by far the best factory navigation I have...
Have fitted the radio, all is working OK apart from no radio reception and I still need the pinout for the mic connection please
