It's not a difficult job to remove the clear lens off the light unit and remove the bulb from the other way, the bulb would need to be cut but at least it's out. Total cost is a new halogen bulb.
Have ordered one off eBay, what am I looking for? A 12v supply for the one lead and what about the other? Will it be ground?
Actually a Ford s max but none of the Ford forums are much good so still around even though I no longer have my zafira
Don't have a multimeter lol.
The only switch is for a roof blind in the centre. The roof lights are above each door as there is a full length panorama roof. The switch has 4 pins so if I find the correct wires could I connect to...
They are for the roof. The ambiant lighting lens are already in place. I just don't know where to wire the 2 wires for leds. Any ideas?
Never thought of that. I just want the easiest way to get 2 red leds to light up when the dash illumination is on :)
Evening, I am looking at fitting ambiant lighting. I only need 2 smds for what I'm doing but I need to make up a loom to connect to a 12v supply and ground.
What I think is this
12v - resistor...
Was looking at the led strips bit I only need 1 smd per side and could only find multiple ones
Could do with a basic circuit diagram going from +12v to smds and resistors then to ground. Will these be in sequence or in series?
This is what I'm trying to do, the frosted lens should glow red :)

It's in the headlining. I have some smds and resistors bit not sure where or how to connect them. There is a sunroof blind switch that lights up near it and I tried it today couldn't get it to work....
Hi all,
I'm looking at a way of fitting ambiant lighting to my car. The lenses are already factory fit and so are the holders which take plcc2's.
I want to make a loon to power 2 red ands but...
yes mate, our cat has gone back to the old house so have to keep going back on the hope we see it. you followed me down brickbridge earlier and its one mean looking car :)
Cheers Chris, i forgot about them. i popped to an exhaust place next door to wombourne tyres but they dont supply the tips so would rather a supply and fit place. will give them a ring.
I know but my lips are sealed, all i will say is :o. Looking fantastic as always
I'm looking into swapping the standard exhaust tip for an OEM stainless exhaust tip. What sort of cost would it be to supply and weld a new exhaust tip and to cut off the old one. Could also do with...
now the Zafira is gone it seems fitting to share a few pics of its replacement after a good clean

i would imagine there is only so many times they could skim the top before the metal would get too thin anyway ? it all depends on the damage i suppose. pics would be usefull. talking of pics, i...
Looking good as always Simon
I think you should do them carbon. Really lifts the car. I always thought the standard ones looked a bit naff
Looking forward to see it fitted, if you still Havn't chose a colour for the steering wheel, why not dip them too?
Looks fantastic. Has it been dipped?
There a black zafira on the zafira owners club that looks really smart with BBS alloys :)
